Monthly Programs

Our monthly programs provide hands-on learning opportunities, with seasoned quilters sharing techniques and tips. Attendees can explore new patterns, materials, and methods in a supportive, creative environment. Whether you're a beginner or experienced, each program offers a chance to enhance your quilting skills and connect with fellow enthusiasts.

WVU Textiles Lab

During our recent guild meeting, we had the pleasure of visiting the WVU Textiles Lab, guided by the wonderful Dr. Beth Shorrock. She gave us an in-depth look at the lab's impressive workspaces, where students can spin wool into yarn, weave on looms, and experiment with all-natural, plant-based dyes. We also toured the fashion design studio, outfitted with industry-standard sewing machines, and gained insight into the creative processes of future designers. A big thank you to Dr. Shorrock for sharing her expertise and passion—it was truly an inspiring experience!

Quilty Name Tag Mini-Workshop

At a recent meeting, we got creative making personalized quilty name tags! Members created either an English paper pieced hexie name tag or a simple name tag featuring layered fabric yoyos. It was a fun and hands-on way to showcase our skills and individual styles.

Trip to Grantsville, MD

In August our guild enjoyed a delightful day trip to Grantsville, MD! We shopped for quilting treasures at Four Seasons Stitchery, explored the charming Spruce Forest Artisan Village, and savored a delicious lunch at Penn Alps. It was a perfect day of creativity, inspiration, and camaraderie!
